Republicans 1 Seat Away From House Majority

Republicans are one seat shy of flipping the U.S. House of Representatives, according to projections late Nov. 14, with 13 uncalled races left.
Republicans gained five seats on Monday, according to the projections.
Republican Brandon Williams won the race for New York’s 22nd Congressional District, while Republican Reps. Michelle Steel (R-Calif.) and Ken Calvert (R-Calif.) won reelection in their respective 45th and 41st Congressional districts, according to The Associated Press.
Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) won the race for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District, while Republican Juan Ciscomani triumphed in the race for the state’s 6th Congressional District.
The calls came after the candidates expanded leads following new reporting from one or more counties, and puts the GOP on the precipice of flipping the Democrat-held House....
