AUGUSTA, Ga.—Shen Yun means "the beauty of divine beings dancing," and that is certainly what former Senior Vice President Carol Sheldon saw when she watched Shen Yun Performing Arts at the William B. Bell Auditorium on Jan. 11.
"Emotional, very emotional," said Ms. Sheldon. "Very beautiful, very classic, and just delightful, all around. I loved it."
Based in New York, Shen Yun was founded in 2006 by leading Chinese artists who made it their mission to revive traditional Chinese culture through classical Chinese dance and music.
Ms. Sheldon could see the dedication the performers had.
"I think just the faces of the dancers, the emotion that they showed in the love for their craft was just inspirational, and it just made you happy. It was just lovely. The men, the women, every one of them, you could see in their faces that this was their passion."...
