Customer Sues Southwest Airlines Over Denied Refunds For Two Cancelled FlightsA Louisiana man has filed a federal lawsuit against Southwest Airlines, claiming the company improperly denied refunds for flights canceled during its recent operational chaos.
The lawsuit, filed on Dec. 30 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, “is believed to be the first” legal complaint arising from Southwest’s pre and post-Christmas snarls, Law and Crime reports.
Eric Capdeville of Marrero, Louisiana, seeks to represent himself and “all others similarly situated” in a class-action complaint for breach of contract, the court filing says.
Although Southwest is based in Texas, the suit was filed in Capdeville’s state because that was where “a substantial part” of related events occurred, the filing says....
